Why You Should Purchase This Online CPD Course?

If a company has a year end on or after the 31 December 2015, it will have to consider whether or not to adopt the forthcoming FRS 102 The FRS Applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland or, provided they meet the small company criteria, the FRS for Smaller Entities (FRSSE) for their accounting policies. The former will be based on international financial reporting standards whilst the latter is already based on UK/Irish standards. No matter which option smaller entities take they will have to provide comparative information for the year ended 31st December 2014 in accordance with either document. Therefore, both practitioners and accountants in business, in order to make a rationale decision of which option to adopt, should be aware of the content of both documents as the current regime of SSAPs and FRSs will come to an end on 31st December 2014.

In addition the new FRS 102 will apply to ALL private companies, both small and large, as well as banks and financial institutions (including credit unions) so more than 90% of companies in Ireland will be affected by these developments.

Who Should Purchase This Online CPD Course?

  • Accountants in business who are preparing the financial statements
  • Accountants in Practice, who are preparing financial statements for their clients.

What This Course Will Provide You With?

Delegates will receive a review of the main changes that will be imposed by the adoption of the new FRS 102 as well as a detailed overview of the FRSSE in order to gain an appreciation of the route to choose for their smaller clients and for those larger private companies both practitioners and accountants in industry will gain a broad understanding of the application of the new FRS.
