Rose Tierney, Tierney Tax Consultancy

Rose Tierney is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser in both the UK and Ireland. She previously worked as a director with a Big Four firm in Dublin and prior to that several years were spent in London advising businesses on tax planning and transactions. In 2004, she established an independent Tax Practice Tierney Tax Consultancy and has since then been advising clients in the SME sector and their accountants and solicitors on various aspects of Irish and UK taxation.

John Murphy, OmniPro

As a lead member of our technical support team, John relishes problem-solving to help accountants develop innovative client solutions and sharing technical knowledge on tax, financial reporting and auditing.

A Chartered Tax Adviser, he advises clients in practice on a range of issues from income tax, tax planning, restructuring and exit planning to Revenue audits. In addition, he provides support on financial reporting, auditing and company law; conducts company valuations and advises on pre-sale restructuring.

John also plays a key role as a researcher and subject-matter expert in developing OmniPro information products such as the and As a speaker at OmniPro CPD events, he brings these industry-leading insights to accountants participating in our training programmes.

Mark Doyle, Doyle Keaney

Mark is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and a member of the Irish Taxation Institute. He is also a member of the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies – Ireland (CCAB-I) Taxation Committee and he is chairman of the Tax Administration Liaison Committee (TALC) Capital committee. He was formerly Tax Director with Grant Thornton where he worked for eight years.

Mark is the sole author of ‘Capital Gains Tax: A Practitioners Guide’ published by Chartered Accountants Ireland. Mark speaks extensively on tax matters for professional bodies and also contributes articles to all of the major professional journals and in the national press.

Mark advises on succession planning, corporate reconstructions and reorganisations, mergers and demergers, share buybacks, incorporation, asset protection and executive remuneration. Mark also specialises in giving corporate tax advice to Irish based companies and providing personal tax advice to high net worth individuals.

Gabrielle Dillon, Dermot O’Brien & Associates

Gabrielle Dillon is a Director of Dermot O’Brien & Associates, a firm specialising in VAT consultancy services, having previously worked in the VAT Department of BDO. She is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA). She is the regular author of VAT Cases & VAT News in Irish Tax Review and she has published various articles on VAT issues. She is a member of the Irish Tax Review Editorial Board and she has lectured frequently in VAT for the Irish Tax Institute and other professional bodies. She is co-author of the Institute publication Value-Added Tax & VAT on Property.
